Mountain & Fat Tire Electric Bikes
There are tons of mountain bike styles available. The numbers keep increasing with the number of electric mountain bikes as well. But, with all of these different styles, how do you know which one best fits you?
Here are some questions to ask yourself while looking at electric mountain bikes:
1. What is your style of riding?
Are you looking to use your bike for trails or are you looking for a fat tire? Or, are you just looking for something that could do a little bit of everything? Another consideration when choosing style is your terrain. If you are riding in sand or snow, perhaps a fat tire (like the Haibike Full FatSix) is the best option.
There are many considerations when choosing between suspension and a rigid (no suspension) bike. The common suspension styles are hardtail and full suspension. Hardtail features a suspension fork in the front wheel, like the Focus BOLD2 Plus electric bike. Full suspension is where there are front and rear shocks to absorb impacts. A good example would be the Haibike Sduro FullSeven models.
3. Components: Wheels, Brakes, and Gears
Components are, quite obviously, another big factor when choosing a bike. It is a lot of the reason why there are so many models. With all of the configurations available, it is difficult to pin down only a few models per brand. It is also a contributor to pricing of the bikes as well. More high-end components will most likely results in more expensive bikes.
