Electric Bike Place’s Review: Logan’s First Impressions
The 2021 IZIP Sumo is an affordable electric fat tire mountain bike that offers an opportunity to ride in varying conditions.
Thin snow, sand, and gravel are no match to the grip on the included 4.0” tires, and with upgraded studded tires, biking through thick layers of snow is effortless.
My favorite aspect is the focus on seat positioning, comfort, and geometry. Throughout my entire ride, even while pushing the Sumo to its limits, I felt awesome and super comfortable.
A majority of the components enhance this bike. One of my favorite offerings is the smooth power delivery from the Bosch Active Line Plus motor, especially during uphill climbs. The Tektro M275 Hydraulic Brakes offer incredible stopping power, which is beneficial for quick stops but not desirable (in my opinion) while biking at high speeds or down steep hills.
Overall, the 2021 IZIP Sumo e-bike is a great introductory option to the year-round trail and off-road biking, and I can’t wait for my next ride!
What iZip has to say about the Sumo
The Sumo electric fat bike is always up for full sized fun whether plowing through the snow or cruising your favorite sandy beach. The Bosch Active Line Plus mid-motor packs best-in-class power to keep you rolling wherever your adventure takes you and the oversized 4-inch tires bowl over soft surfaces and technical terrain like a steamroller. The fully formed aluminum alloy frame and fork have plenty of cargo mounts to carry heavy loads so you can pack everything you need for your next outing. Go big or go home!
